Finished Ends

A finished end is the side of any cabinet which is exposed and you require it to be  wood veneer on the exposed side, with melamine to match the box color, on the inside. The finished end will be set up for dowel construction rather than Confirmat, which will require gluing and clamping the box together. This creates a finshed side at box depth, that can be stained and laquered to match your door and drawer front color.
Keep in mind that most common wood species are available with a white melamine back however, only a few solid color or woodgrain options are available.
An alternative to the finished end is to skin the pre-assembled box side with desired sheet veneer and finish to match door and drawer front.
