Hinge Boring

The hinge boring pattern for all standard doors is 4" up from the bottom of the door, and 4" down from the top of the door  to the center of the 35mm cup hole. We facilitate this pattern by drilling dedicated holes for the hinge plates on all cabinet sides which remain in their same location as we stretch or shrink the box height. This pattern holds true for all cabinets except any box with an apron and full height doors, any door that overhangs the top or bottom of the box by more than 1 1/2" (light rail) or custom reveals which may affect hinge placement.
Any box with a standard 7" apron requires the top hinge bore to move down to 9" from the top of the door to the center of the cup hole.
